Walid's Castle

In my project “Illusions” I visualize the age-old desire of people for a beautiful, safe and happy place to live. Wonderful stories about foreign countries where life is good play a major role in that choice.

These stories color the image people get of the place they dream about, unfortunately reality often turns out to be an illusion. I myself know about the dreams the feeling of freedom, but also the homesickness when I lived abroad for years.

But you’ll need illusions and dreams to change something, to give you a purpose and beyond that: what could be more wonderful to be able to travel in your fantasy, to be whoever you want?

In my objects I combine stones with glass so that the earthly reality merges with the dream world.

I chose Bi-Color glass that changes color under the influence of UV light so the glass enhances the illusion.
